 Lamis El Hadidy is an Egyptian Journalist and Managing Editor of the economic magazine Al Alam Al Youm weekly. In addition to that Lamis is one of the strongest TV presenters in Egypt. She is the host of Etkalem, a weekly show presented on national TV since 2005 and Manea Wa Mamnoua  in Ramadan 2007.

 El Hadidy graduated from The American University in Cairo in 1987 with a BA in Mass Communication with highest honors. She received the Mostafa Amin Prize for mass communication graduates in the same year. She continued her graduate studies at AUC and received her Masters Degree in Broadcasting in 1991 with highest honors.
In 1989 El Hadidy started working as a correspondent for the New York Times in their office in Egypt. She also worked as Chief Correspondent in Al Alam Al Youm from 1991 to 1994 and as a correspondent for MBC in Dubai and Cairo from 1994 till 1998. From 1999 to 2003, she was the Financial Correspondent for the Al Jazzira TV channel. From 2003 till 2005, El Hadidy was Office Director of CNBC Arabia in Egypt. In 2004 El Hadidy became Managing Editor of Al Alam Al Youm, a position she still holds today.

 This Ramadan, Lamis El Hadidy will be presenting her new show Feesh wa Tashbeeh(criminal record check) on Al Kahera Wal Nas and Channel 1 ETV. The show is based on Lamis’ bold and candid confrontations to her celebrity guests. The show was shot in three different locations: Egypt, Lebanon and London. Her guests include political, economic and public figures from around the world, as well as movie stars and musicians.  Guest stars include the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Council Fathy Sorour, actress May Ez El Din, soccer player Ahmed Hassan, Egyptian Businessman Ramy Lakah and host of other celebrities, soon to be announced.
