TNA Launched an awareness campaign about breast cancer for the Ministry of Health in Ramadan. The main aim of the campaign was to educate the target group, women from lower social classes, about the importance of medical checkups to be able to discover the disease at an early stage. The female cast from the renowned sit-com Tamer and shawkia, May Kassab who plays Shawkia and Ragaa El Gedawy who plays Tamer’s mother were the stars of the campaign.

Seven TV copies were produced, however one of the copies was not approved by the minister due to it’s shocking nature that would have been a bit too much for the target audience. The copies are based on different scenarios were Shawkia and Tamer’s mother remind women of the importance of their medical check ups. At the end of each copy the hotline for the breast cancer treatment unit is provided.
