The Egyptian Assembly of Advertising held the 10th round of the Rameh Advertising Awards this year to recognize the most outstanding advertisements throughout 2007, since the event was cancelled last year. The awards event was held on Saturday November 7th at 7:30 pm at the Cairo Opera House. It was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture National Cultural Center Cairo Opera House, A.R Group, Safir Hotels & Resorts and Cuba entertainment.
The awards were divided into different advertising media such as TV, radio, press, print, outdoor and internet as well as different categories such as FMCGs, Telecom and Public Awareness. Other Agencies that participated in the competition included; Horizon, Point of View, Hit, Advantage, Strategies, Animation, Impact, Fortune Promoseven, Look, In House, TBWA Egypt, Creative Lab, Style Communications and a few more. Hassan Hamdy, President of the Egyptian Assembly for Advertising along with Vice President Loula Zokloma presented the awards to the winners .
Attending on behalf of the TNC group was Shahira Akel from the T-Room, Sherif Hanna from the Creative Boutique, Heidi Al Barbary from Direct Ad, Nirveen Hassan from TNA and Mariham Boshra, Marwa Zakaria, Sherina Nabil, Mariam Elwan, Mohamed Wasfy, Mohamed Salah and Wael Azzam from DDB.
A total of two awards were presented to the group: DDB won a Gold for the 06/07 Tax Campaign and DDB/MCR won a bronze for the Vodafone 3G Ad “Ana Vodafone”. As for Direct Ad, they received a Certificate of Honor for the San Stefano Ad.
