Ibrahim, the subject of NBE’s anti-phishing campaign ad, is a recent retiree who is determined to spend his money on activities he’s always wanted to try. We’re shown shots of a gleeful Ibrahim on a motorcycle, playing fetch with dogs, treating himself to a new wardrobe, playing golf, opening newly-received packages, and canoeing. He deserves to pamper himself because he’s earned it, right? Wrong. See, Ibrahim isn’t really Ibrahim. The real Ibrahim is revealed in the next shot: Stunned after having realized he’s an unfortunate victim of a phone phishing scam. The narrator warns NBE customers of falling for similar scams and sharing their data with people who claim to be bank representatives.
